Ruthy Alraei is a visual artist from Quebec, Canada, currently located in Montréal, Québec. When she was thirteen, her family moved to Turkey, and she then began traveling the world. She now believes that exposure to different countries, cultures, and lifestyles matured and expanded her worldview.
A curious child, as she grew, art became her favorite form of exploration. At the age of nine, her parents bought her a little red camera, and she found herself shooting everything in sight. As an adult woman, she considers herself a Fine Art Photographer specializing in portrait and fashion.

Growing up, Ruthy’s teachers would call her a daydreamer; ‘Tu est toujours dans la lune’ which translates to “You are always on the moon,” is what they would tell her. Seeing no limits to what she could create, she found herself using photography to tell stories, express emotions and beliefs, and display beauty.
