The main subject of Alraei's work is celebrating women's body hair with her use of light, color, collage to make beautiful natural things that are shamed by society. By her use of abstract photographs of body hair, collaged with ethereal floral photographs, Alraei takes something which is societally considered masculine and gives back to its natural feminine energy. Driven by her own experiences and passions, her creative process consists of going through an intense critical thinking process, where she places herself in the viewer's shoes and reflects upon what they will take away from her imagery. Focused on self-expression and challenging beauty standards, it is important to note that Alraei’s work is best viewed in an exhibition space that utilizes all of the senses.
